I did a full edit of an article for an undergraduate academic journal. First, I read the article to determine editing objectives. Then, I did a comprehensive edit, focusing mainly on the organization and structure of the article. Next, I edited at the sentence level, suggesting revisions to make sentences more clear and improve the flow of the article. Finally, I did a copy edit to correct grammar.  I also made a separate document with all of my suggested revisions implemented for the author to use if desired. I completed this editing project in Microsoft Word.
